2. History of Khajuraho Temples

Built primarily by the Chandela dynasty between the 9th and 12th centuries, the Khajuraho temples are celebrated worldwide for their architectural detail and sculptural artistry. Of the original 85 temples, around 25 survive today, dedicated to both Hindu and Jain traditions.
