2. History of Konark Sun Temple
Built in the 13th century under King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga dynasty, Konark Sun Temple was designed in the form of a giant chariot with intricately carved wheels and horses. Though partially in ruins today, it remains one of India's most celebrated examples of temple architecture and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
